Tamworth stretched their unbeaten run to 10 matches in all competitions with a goalless Blue Square Premier encounter at the Racecourse Ground.

Neither side were at their best in a dire match which did little to help either team in their bid to push for a place in the play-offs.

Both sides had opportunities to open the scoring in an open first half.

Michael Blackwood then had a chance to win it for Tamworth on the hour but shot straight at Sam Russell.

Wrexham did at least stretch their unbeaten home record to five games.
