Luton Town 4-1 Eastbourne Borough

Richard Money's Luton were without a win in three league games

Luton moved to within three points of the play-off zone with an impressive win against lowly Eastbourne Borough.

But they had to come from behind after Matt Cramb's low drive gave visiting Borough a shock sixth-minute lead.

Luton levelled three minutes later when Matthew Barnes-Homer diverted Tom Craddock's shot in and Kevin Gallen put the Hatters ahead with a rebound shot.

Gallen poked home a second to make it 3-1 at the break and Rossi Jarvis ran through to complete the scoring.

Barnes-Homer's almost instant equaliser - his first goal for the club - was the turning point.

And by half-time the game was as good as won thanks in the main to Gallen's fine finishing.

Jarvis sealed an emphatic victory, running onto Kevin Nicholls' pass to convert from the edge of the area 15 minutes from time.

For draw specialists Eastbourne, it was a 13th successive game without a league win, leaving them just two points clear of the danger zone, thanks to Forest Green's point at Tamworth.

Eastbourne manager Gary Wilson told BBC Sussex:

"Maybe 4-1 flattered Luton a little bit. It was just the difference in the penalty areas.

"From box to box I thought we had as much as the ball as them.

"In the second half we must have had more possession than them but when it comes to clinical finishing and quick feet in the box I think Luton have the edge."
