Histon and Altrincham battled hard but played out a disappointing goalless mid-table draw at Bridge Road.

The only moment of quality in a scruffy first half came from the visitors, thanks to a Matthew Doughty cross headed over by John McAliskey.

Alty again had the better second-half chances, Chris Senior going close, denied by Matthew Langston's block.

And home keeper Danny Naisbitt continued to thwart the visitors by saving Senior's shot.
