Tuesday night's match between Mansfield and Luton in the Blue Square Premier has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at Field Mill.

Football League referee Russell Booth inspected the surface on Tuesday morning and deemed it unplayable.

"The standing water comes above your boots as you enter the field of play," he said. "Rain is forecast all day and the pitch will not improve in time."

No new date has yet been arranged for the fixture to be played.
