Saah helped the U's fight back from 2-0 down for the second game in a row
Cambridge United fought back from two goals down to secure a point against in-form Rushden & Diamonds.
Rushden, who are unbeaten in six league games, took an early lead when Lee Tomlin fired a direct free-kick past keeper Danny Potter.
Jefferson Louis doubled the lead with a close-range shot but Paul Carden reduced the deficit after the break with a spectacular long-range strike.
Brian Saah levelled for the U's, heading home Courtney Pitt's free-kick.
With a 2-0 half-time lead, Rushden were looking set to extend their winning run in the Blue Square Premier to six games.
Tomlin had given Diamonds the lead with a free-kick after he was brought down by Andy Parkinson outside the penalty area.
But they had to settle for a point as player-assistant boss Carden sparked a Cambridge fightback with his opportunistic drive from more than 30 yards before defender Saah levelled for the U's within five minutes.
It was the second game in a row that Cambridge had found themselves two goals down before grabbing a point.
Rushden & Diamonds manager Justin Edinburgh told BBC Radio Northampton:
"I think it's probably a point gained. It was a tough game.
"We started the game brightly going 2-0 up but we knew the wind was going to be difficult to contend with (in the second half) and sometimes you have to give credit to the opposition.
"They never lay down and died. They are a good side and I expected that and I suppose they were probably worthy of the draw in the end."
