Clare is on loan at Gateshead from Mansfield

Daryl Clare scored a hat-trick as Gateshead eased to victory over 10-man Grays Athletic.

Clare fired into the top-left corner to give the home side an early lead before Graeme Armstrong hit the post.

Grays' hopes of a comeback were hit when Folawiyo Onibuje was sent off for a foul on Darren Williams.

Clare immediately headed in his second from close range, before sidefooting home Craig Baxter's cross to complete his hat-trick.
