Mansfield 1-0 Forest Green

Rob Duffy
Duffy scored a hat-trick in last weekend's win over Hayes & Yeading

Rob Duffy grabbed his eighth goal of the season as Mansfield edged out Forest Green at blustery Field Mill.

Duffy scored the winner from the spot on five minutes, coolly sending keeper Terry Burton the wrong way after being fouled in the box by Oliver Thorne.

The Stags had the better chances in a dull game, Blair Sturrock having a fine shot tipped over and Jake Speight missing a glorious close-range shot.

Tomi Ameobi wasted the visitors' best chance when he blazed over late on.

The Stags' fifth home win in seven home league games this season lifts them back up a place into fourth as they recovered from the disappointment of going down 3-1 at Barrow in midweek.

For Forest Green, it was a first defeat in six games since new boss Dave Hockaday took charge.
