AFC Wimbledon moved into the play-off places after hanging on for a tense victory at Rushden & Diamonds.
Ross Montague gave the visitors an early lead when he collected a loose ball and smashed a 25-yard shot past Nathan Abbey.
But they had to repel a Rushden onslaught as Craig Farrell hit the post with a shot and then saw his penalty saved by James Pullen.
James Reid and Cliff Akurang had more chances but the visitors held on.
