Wrexham 0-1 Oxford

Unbeaten Oxford United are now seven points clear at the top of the Blue Square Premier after beating Wrexham in an incident-packed match.

James Constable took advantage of slack Wrexham marking at a corner to head the winner from three yards on 30 minutes.

A scuffle between Constable and Marc Williams saw Wrexham's Frank Sinclair shown a second yellow for his reaction.

Dragons boss Dean Saunders was sent off, while Oxford finished with 10 men as Steve Kinniburgh saw two yellows.

Wrexham manager Dean Saunders:

"I thought we started the game well, I thought we played really well at times today.

"For the lad to head in from two yards out there must have been a foul on our goalkeeper. The goalkeeper thinks it's a foul.

"I've been amazed with the standard of refereeing. Frank Sinclair has not touched the Oxford player.

"Then I got sent off for irresponsible behaviour when it could have been the other way around."
