Tamworth and Hayes & Yeading shared the spoils from a close contest between two newly-promoted teams at Church Road.

Adam Green fired a free-kick into the bottom-left corner to put the home side ahead on the half-hour mark.

Trevor Benjamin equalised 10 minutes after the break and midfielder Michael Blackwood put Tamworth ahead from close range midway through the second-half.

Sean Canham connected with a cross from Esmond James within 10 minutes to earn the home side a point.
