Kyle Perry grabbed the only goal as high-flying Mansfield saw off a spirited Chester side.

Perry found the net after two minutes when Rob Duffy reacted to a flick-on from Craig Armstrong's lofted free-kick and his shot was turned in by Perry.

Lewis Alessandra hit the post for Chester and away keeper Alan Marriott made a fine save from Neil Ashton.

Jake Speight had a goal disallowed for the Stags and Louis Briscoe and Kyle Perry also went close in a fiery match.
