Beardsley was a summer recruit after leaving Kettering

Stevenage recorded their first win of the season as they cruised to victory over winless Ebbsfleet.

The hosts made a fine start and led when Lawrie Wilson headed the ball into the path of debutant Chris Beardsley, who tucked the ball away from 12 yards.

Mark Roberts hit the bar for Boro, who doubled their lead as Joel Byrom netted Michael Bostwick's ball from six yards.

Andrew Drury should have extended their lead before Wilson was played in by Ronnie Henry and finished well.
