Worcester City are to stay at St George's Lane for now after deferring a planning application for housing.
But the Blue Square South club's long-term aim is still to sell St George's Lane and use the funds to relocate to a new stadium at Nunnery Way.
In a statement, City vice-chairman Jim Panter said they are working closely with their chosen developers.
"We continue to be comfortable with Careys who played a significant part in the building of Wembley," said Panter.
"They are at present carrying out a number of projects at the Olympic Complex in East London."
A recent report from a senior planning official at the city council recommended the planning application be refused for a variety of reasons.
City's directors met with senior figures from Careys earlier this week and resolved to defer the decision until this issues could be addressed.
Jim Panter insisted both parties remain committed to the deal whereby Careys New Homes will purchase St Georges Lane for residential development.
"We expect them to work through the detailed requirements in a sensitive fashion and develop the optimal solution for both themselves, Worcester City and of course the people of Worcester."
