Two-goal Chris Holroyd was the hero as managerless Cambridge United earned their first win of the season.
Mark Beesley set up Holroyd for his close-range first goal on 16 minutes.
Leon Crooks headed Ebbsfleet level three minutes into the second half, only for Jai Reason to restore Cambridge's lead two minutes later.
Robbie Willmott then set up Holroyd to seal the points with a 72nd minute header as Cambridge bounced back from Saturday's 2-0 home defeat by Barrow.
