Both sides lacked a cutting edge in this disappointing final day goalless draw at St George's Lane.

The best chance in front of a meagre 608 crowd fell to Basingstoke sub Sam Tucknott late on when he picked up on an error by City's Ollie Barnes.

Tucknott only had keeper Danny McDonell to beat but slid his shot wide.

The best opportunity for Worcester, who finish in 16th in Blue Square South, came from Barnes in the second half but his effort was scrambled off the line.
