Stevenage Borough missed their chance to overtake 10-man Torquay United and move into the Blue Square Premier play-off places after a goalless draw.
Lawrie Wilson and Gary Mills missed early chances for Boro, whilst their keeper Chris Day denied Blair Sturrock.
Tim Sill went close for Torquay after half-time, before Mills' long shot was saved by Scott Bevan.
Stevenage took control and had plenty of more chances to win the game, but could not find a winner.
Torquay United Manager Paul Buckle told BBC Radio Devon:
"It unlike us to have a 0-0 scoreline. Everytime we've played this season we have tried to win a game.
"I think both teams went for it today, and in the end I am pleased with today's result. We still created chances even when our backs were against the wall.
"All season I feel we've missed good chances, but we have to move on to our next game on Tuesday night."
