Cambridge kept their slender Blue Square Premier title hopes alive with a thoroughly-deserved win at Kettering.

The visitors broke the deadlock on 14 minutes after Kettering defender Guy Branston handled the ball in the box and Chris Holroyd hit home the penalty.

Cambridge's Josh Coulson saw a header hit a post before Robbie Willmott doubled the lead with a low drive.

Scott Rendell hit the woodwork again for the U's before Gareth Seddon volleyed in a late consolation.
