Redditch United needed a late penalty to salvage a point against Gainsborough Trinity at the Valley Stadium.

The spot-kick was awarded for a push on Redditch's Owen Story following a long throw by Lucan Spittle.

Ryan Beswick making no mistake from 12 yards to cancel out a first-minute goal from Trinity's Chris Hall.

Gainsborough had the lion's share of possession and could have been further ahead had a Luke Beckett effort not been ruled offside.

Despite the draw Redditch United have now dropped into the relegation zone in Blue Square North.
