Cambridge Utd 4-1 Northwich

Scott Rendell scored twice as Cambridge thrashed Northwich to cut the gap on Blue Square Premier leaders Burton to just five points.

Chris Holroyd put United on course to extend their unbeaten run to 10 games.

Rendell netted twice to put Cambridge out of sight, either side of Luke Joyce's superb strike for the visitors.

Andy Parkinson added a fourth goal with 10 minutes remaining to leave struggling Northwich with just one win in their last 19 games.
