Workington Reds manager Darren Edmondson has hailed teenage striker Andy Cook after the club's 5-0 win against Farsley Celtic on Tuesday.
Cook, 18, joined the Reds from Carlisle United on loan in February and Edmondson can see the young forward continuing to develop.
"You look at him and don't think he's 18," he told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"He's come out of the youth team and he's put himself around brilliantly, he's progressing and learning."
Cook's move to Borough Park has handed the youngster the opportunity of regular first-team football and the intensity of a competitive league.
And Edmondson hopes he can bring in other young players to help bolster his squad.
"Hopefully, we keep saying hopefully, you keep ringing up these football clubs and with not a lot of money in our pot, beg for these players and hope that people will let us have them on the cheap or for free," he said.
"Sometimes clubs are in agreement, but it's the players who don't want to drop down to this level for whatever reason.
"Hopefully we can bring in another one before Saturday, tie Andy Cook up for another month and hopefully then we'll look a bit better with numbers."
