Onome Sodje rescued a share of the spoils for York as they salvaged a draw at Forest Green.
The home side broke the deadlock just before half-time when Paul Stonehouse cut in from the left and fed Kaid Mohamed who slotted home.
Sodje struck for the away side four minutes from time with a strike from the edge of the box.
Striker Conal Platt was off target from distance for the hosts and Ben Purkiss went close for the visitors.
