Steve McNulty was sent off but battling Barrow held on for a goalless draw against fellow strugglers Northwich.

After a dire first half, Barrow midfielder Matt Henney came close but saw his shot rebound off the crossbar.

McNulty was dismissed with half an hour remaining for using foul and abusive language, but managerless Northwich failed to capitalise.

Indeed, Mark Boyd was nearly the hero for Barrow, as his long range free-kick hit the crossbar in stoppage time.
