Jack Midson's brace helped high-flying Histon thump lowly Salisbury and cut Burton Albion's lead at the top of the Blue Square Premier to 16 points.

Midson opened the scoring after 30 minutes, firing low past James Bittner from the edge of the penalty area.

Daniel Wright made it 2-0 from the spot after being felled by Michael Brough.

Two goals in as many minutes sealed the win with Midson and Murray, who also hit the bar with a fine 25-yard effort, both netting from 18 yards.
