Workington Reds have been awarded 10,000 compensation by Whitehaven County Court from Newcastle Blue Star for the loss of manager Tommy Cassidy.
The decision was met with delight by the staff at the Blue Square North club and director Alec Graham summed up the feelings surrounding the club.
He said: "Newcastle Blue Star ripped our club apart that season (2007/08).
"We were helpful and didn't stand in their way in taking the people they wanted and now we are delighted."
Cassidy moved to Blue Star in September 2007 after the two clubs agreed a compensation deal worth 20,000, and the case was brought to court when one half of the sum remained unpaid.
However the former Northern Ireland international left the club in March 2008 to be replaced by Paul Baker.
