Torquay 1-1 Wrexham

Torquay battled back from a goal down to draw with play-off rivals Wrexham.

Ryan Flynn put the visitors ahead against the run of play, getting in front of his defender to guide in a shot from Jon Brown's classy cross.

Nicky Roe's short corner was crossed by Kevin Nicholson, Elliot Benyon heading back across goal to Roscoe DSane who side-footed in past a static defence.

Brown had a golden chance to clinch an undeserved win, but shot straight at keeper Scott Bevan from four yards out.

Wrexham manager Dean Saunders:
"I wouldn't have settled for a point [beforehand]... I was coming here expecting us to win.

"The conditions made it a bit tricky for us, they're a big team, [there were a] lot of long throws and long balls.

"We played a bit of football in the first half, scored a great goal and got in some good areas.

"But they had a few chances as well, we were under a bit of pressure.

"I was really disappointed with the goal we conceded because we went over [set-piece defence]... before the game.

"But I think that's the first goal we've conceded at a set piece since I've been here."
