AFC Telford United made it eight league wins in a row as they overcame a tricky pitch to defeat Stafford Rangers 3-1.
The home side led through on-loan Christian Millar's first-half strike. But Stuart Pierpoint's own goal turned the game before a twice-taken Andy Brown penalty and Danny Carey-Bertram's late strike claimed the points.
The Bucks' latest win keeps Telford third in the league, three points off the top, but it was slightly soured by an injury to wing-back Lee Vaughan.
Assistant boss Larry Chambers admitted that Telford were not at their best in a hard-fought derby at Marston Road. "I'm pleased with the courage and determination shown by the players," Chambers told BBC Radio Shropshire. "But it wasn't a vintage performance."
Telford, who have a game in hand on leaders Tamworth, now face Stafford again on New Year's Day in the rematch at the Bucks Head.
