AFC Telford United overcame difficult conditions to beat Boston 2-1 in the first round of the FA Trophy.
The Bucks started brightly but Danny Carey-Bertram missed a glorious opportunity to put them ahead when his penalty was saved.
But the striker made amends when he gave them the lead on 33 minutes.
Steve Jagielka then put Rob Smith's side 2-0 up at the break and they held on despite Boston grabbing a late consolation in the second half.
Assistant boss Larry Chambers told BBC Radio Shropshire: "It wasn't a great performance, it was all about the result."
