Oxford City manager Justin Merritt has said his team will improve once his new signings have been given time to gel with the rest of the squad.

Players have moved in both directions at Court Place Farm in recent weeks, and Merritt insists this has affected the form of the Southern League side.

Merritt told BBC Oxford: "We have had a bit of movement of players, and it does take some time to gel.

"It may take a few weeks but I think we have the squad we want now."

Merritt has been successful in attracting a number of high profile local players this season including Phil Gulliver, Jamie Brooks and Dave Savage.
