Burton went five points clear at the top of the Blue Square Premier as they beat Cambridge.

John McGrath scored with a header from Michael Simpson's corner after just four minutes and Shaun Harrad then doubled the lead from the penalty spot.

The Us pulled a goal back in the 63rd minute when Scott Rendell headed home Anthony Tonkin's cross.

Burton lost McGrath to a second yellow card but Greg Pearson's 84th-minute strike calmed home nerves.
