King's Lynn return from Lancashire empty-handed after a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Southport at Haig Avenue.
The Linnets took the lead in the 11th minute when Michael Frew's cross was deflected in by Kevin Lee.
Southport levelled matters five minutes later, Steve Daley finishing neatly from Mark Duffy's cross.
There were only 24 minutes on the clock when Southport took the lead, Duffy the provider once again as Ciaran Kilheeney gave 'keeper Scott Howie no chance.
