Manager Andy Ford has Welling in excellent form of late
Welling United could rise to third in Blue Square South if they can record their third-straight win by beating AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.
Loui Fazakerley has now signed for the rest of the season but they will be without loan signing Moses Ademola, who has been recalled to Brentford.
The game pitches the Wings defence against Dons striker Danny Kedwell, who had two successful seasons at Welling.
Elsewhere, Bromley are away to fifth-placed Team Bath.
Dover Athletic will be hot favourites to record their 11th straight league win as they host Heybridge Swifts, without an away win all season.
Maidstone United can go second if they win at Wealdstone but, if they do not, Tonbridge could also move into second place should they take three points away to Hendon.
Tonbridge manager Tommy Warrilow has challenged his central defenders to score more than double figures each this season.
Leon Legge scored his first three goals of the season in the recent 7-1 win at Ashford Town Middlesex, and Scott Gooding, who recently rejoined the club, netted for the first time this season at Sutton United on Tuesday.
"We're such a threat from aerial set pieces we should be getting a lot more than we have got," Warrilow told BBC Radio Kent.
"Six of the seven goals at Ashford came from set pieces and I want a dozen out of each of them."
In Ryman South, Cray Wanderers will hope to recover from two defeats in a row and start the match away to Corinthian Casuals in fourth place.
Cash-strapped Folkestone Invicta, who are fifth, visit runaway leaders Kingstonian.
Kent league clubs VCD Athletic and Tunbridge Wells are hoping to reach the third round of the FA Vase.
VCD host Mildenhall Town of the Eastern Counties League and Tunbridge Wells travel to Dorset to face Christchurch of the Wessex League Premier Division.
Holmesdale are hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Kent league to five points.
They are away to Slade Green but neither second-placed Tunbridge Wells or third-placed Hythe Town have league games.
