Kettering missed out on the chance to move into the play-off places after they were held by Ebbsfleet.

Home striker Matthew Delicate tested visiting keeper Lee Harper early on, before Kettering's John Dempster fired narrowly wide from 12 yards.

Dempster crashed a header against the crossbar from Craig Westcarr's corner shortly before half-time.

The hosts improved after the break, with the lively Michael Gash twice denied by Harper.
