A penalty from Justin Richards was enough to give Kidderminster all three points away at Rushden & Diamonds.
Richards converted the spot-kick three minutes before half-time, after Curtis Osano was adjudged to have handled in the box.
Rushden's best chance fell to Daryl Clare, but he headed wide after Chris Hope's header had been blocked.
Kidderminster could have doubled their lead in the second half but Matthew Barnes-Homer fired over the bar.
