Histon moved above Kettering into third place in the Blue Square Premier after securing their sixth successive win.

Kettering goalkeeper Lee Harper made a fine double save to deny Daniel Wright, while Curtis Arther went close for the visitors with a 25-yard piledriver.

The winner came from Jack Midson, who headed home a Wright cross.

Neil Andrews fired just wide for the home side but Jean-Paul Marna wasted two late chances to level, shooting wide and lobbing over the bar.
