Substitute Allan Tait's 83rd-minute goal gave Eastbourne a hard-fought win over fellow-strugglers Northwich.

Borough broke the deadlock when Paul Armstrong fired into the bottom corner of the net from the edge of the area.

Northwich levelled when Aaron Burns slotted home from close range but their hopes were hit when Matt Crowell was sent off for a second booking.

Four minutes after Tait came off the bench he hit the winner, firing into the net from six yards out.
