Rushden & D 1-3 Torquay

Torquay stretched their unbeaten run to eight games with a comfortable win at Rushden and overtook them in the table.

Wayne Carlisle bundled in their opener before Tim Sills headed the second from Steve Woods' left-wing cross to put the visitors on top after just 15 minutes.

Nicky Wroe hit the third after Dale Roberts parried Matthew Green's shot.

Rushden's Emmanuel Panther and Green of Torquay were shown red cards in separate incidents before Sam Smith replied from Leon Knight's pass.
