AFC Telford United boss Rob Smith said his team needs to be more clinical in front of goal after drawing 1-1 at Gateshead.
Telford took the lead with Lee Moore's header in the 63rd minute but Gateshead equalised through Graeme Armstrong's tap-in 12 minutes from time.
Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire: "We've got to start finishing teams off.
"It's the final third. Our quality just isn't there. We'll work on it in training. It will come."
Forward Terry Fearns was not included in the starting XI as Telford changed their formation, playing with one striker.
Andy Brown missed a chance on the stroke of half-time after finding room in front of goal, but his shot was saved by Paul Musselwhite.
The Bucks are now seventh in the Blue Square North table.
