Torquay secured their third successive league win of the season against Eastbourne at home.

Tyrone Thompson opened the scoring in the 23rd minute courtesy of Tom Sills, whose header set the midfielder up to score from close range.

Few chances were created after the break but midfielder Chris Hargreaves extended Torquay's lead heading past Eastbourne keeper Lee Hook.

Substitute Danny Stevens was denied a goal by a fine save from Hook.
