Steve Morison hit the back of the net as Stevenage extended their winning run to three matches against Forest Green.
Lee Boylan gave the visitors a second-minute lead following good work from team-mate Michael Bostwick.
Morison was once again in the goals on 23 minutes after latching onto Lawrie Wilson's pass to beat Ryan Robinson.
Adriano Rigoglioso was denied by a fine save from Stevenage keeper Chris Day before Calum Willock scored a third in the seventh minute of injury time.
