Daryl Clare made his long-awaited debut for Rushden and was among the goals as winless Lewes were thrashed.

A broken jaw had kept Clare out since his summer move from Burton but he grabbed the opening goal after the break, tapping in from seven yards.

Leon Knight flicked a looping header into the top corner to make it 2-0 before Chris Hope headed in his side's third from an Andy Burgess cross.

Burgess then crossed for Knight to seal the win with another header.
