Mitchell has been allowed to leave to gain first-team experience

King's Lynn have completed the signing of Rushden & Diamonds midfielder Scott Mitchell on a five-month loan.

The 22-year-old only signed for Diamonds during the close season after a successful trial spell but has so far failed to break into their first-team.

Mitchell began his career with Ipswich before spells with Livingstone and most recently Peterborough last season.

The youngster will go straight into the squad to face Stafford Rangers on Tuesday night.
