McEvilly scored one goal and set up a second for Cambridge

Cambridge United swept past Eastbourne to extend their lead at the top of the Blue Square Premier League.

Lee McEvilly opened the scoring when he drove home Jon Challinor's pass right into the corner on 22 minutes.

McEvilly then laid on a chance to Ben Farrell, who converted from close range just before half-time.

Substitute Chris Holroyd scored his first goal for Cambridge late on when he met Farrell's cross to round of the victory as Eastbourne folded.
