Wayne Carlisle's winner eight minutes from time sealed a thrilling 2-1 victory for Torquay against Woking.
The visitors dominated proceedings in the first half, but had only Giuseppe Sole's 33rd minute free-kick to show for their efforts.
The Gulls levelled early in the second half when Michael Poke fed Elliot Benyon to drive home powerfully.
And the visitors were punished when Benyon turned provider for Carlisle to strike home from the edge of the area.
