Colin Little's injury-time goal secured a dramatic win for Altrincham.
Little, who scored 21 league goals last term, rifled an effort into the roof of the net after good work by Chris Lane.
Alex Meechan gave Alty the lead before half-time, firing home from 12 yards after Woking keeper Ross Warner parried Dale Johnson's shot.
Substitute Joel Ledgister shot home to draw the home side level from six yards but Little won it for the visitors in the dying seconds.
