AFC Telford United midfielder Jamie Vermiglio is hoping for an injury-free season after last season's troubles.

Vermiglio, who picked up a groin strain in October, was forced to miss Telford's push for promotion after breaking his toe in February.

"Fingers crossed I can stay injury free," said Vermiglio. "I missed a big chunk of last season and I want to get back and start scoring more goals.

"My foot is fully healed but I still feel a bit of pain now and then."

Telford finished second behind Kettering in the Blue Square North, but were well beaten in the play-off semis by eventually-promoted Barrow.
