Harrogate Town have narrowly missed out on a Blue Square North play-off spot for the second consecutive season.
Their 1-1 draw with Workington coupled with wins by Barrow and Southport meant that Town ended the season in sixth.
Manager Neil Aspin was disappointed to miss out but he told BBC Radio York that he was pleased with his players.
"They've kept the club up at the top of the league all season. They've been competitive and there's no team played them off the park."
It has been disappointing but if you've followed the team over the last 2 years on their travels they've been an absolute credit to Harrogate Town

"You can get carried away thinking you've had a good start but it's over 42 games and it was always going to be difficult."
Aspin pointed out that a lack of goals and poor form at Wetherby Road had been the biggest problem this season and he apologised for the performances at home since Christmas.
"They've not been good enough and I accept that. It's not the football I want to see being played.
"It has been disappointing but if you've followed the team over the last two years on their travels they've been an absolute credit to Harrogate Town.
"Some of the football they've played has been to a very good standard. We just need to try and reproduce that sort of form at home. If I'd had a magic wand I'd have done that a few months ago but it isn't that easy."
All I know is that the club needs to have an influx of money to make us competitive

Aspin will meet chairman Bill Fotherby to discuss the financial situation at the club for next season before starting to make plans for the future.
He said "All I know is that the club needs to have an influx of money to make us competitive. Its no guarantee of success but it is going to help.
"Depending on what the budget is, depends on what sort of players you can go for."
