Nuneaton to face financial review

The new major shareholder of Nuneaton Borough, Ian Neale, has insisted that no decision has yet been taken about putting the club into administration.

But Neale has said that he is concerned about the club's financial plight and that there will be a thorough review of its finances.

Neale told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "There's a few options possible, not just administration.

"We're going to rely on the advice that the accountants give us."

Neale, an associate director at Coventry City, became Nuneaton's major shareholder last month following a board room shake-up.

"It's not as straight forward as just saying 'let's write the debt off and go into admin'.

"We've got to explore every option," he added.
