Out-of-contract Lewes manager Steve King says he is eager for the chance to test himself at Blue Square Premier level after the Rooks' promotion.
Lewes's win over Dorchester completed a rise from Ryman Division Three to the Blue Square Premier in seven years.
King told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "I think I've deserved the right to manage in the Conference National.
"Three promotions and two play-offs in five seasons is up with the best non-league managers."
King said he always thought he could deliver promotion.
I've always believed I could do this. The owners have put the money in to build the ground and I have done my bit on the pitch

"I always believed I could do it. The owners have put the money in to build the ground and I have done my bit on the pitch," he said.
Lewes defender Ian Simpemba has been in the Conference National division with Crawley and said he believed the side could make the step up, especially after the defeat of Grays in the FA Cup.
He said: "There's a big jump up - but look at our results against Conference opposition. I think we've got a great squad.
"This is a great family club. Everybody knows everybody. Steve King has brought out the best in us. He's got everything spot on this season."
