Aldershot saw off Burton Albion but Torquay's win over Stevenage means Gary Waddock's side still need a point to win promotion to the Football League.

Burton started well and Shaun Harrad was denied by Nikki Bull before Marc Goodfellow and Jake Edwards shot wide.

But it was Aldershot who took the lead when Louis Soares' delicate chip into the box was headed home by Rob Elvins.

Harrad fired over the bar then hit the post before Albion's Darren Stride had his effort ruled out for offside.
