Worcester City have exchanged contracts with property developers Careys New Homes for the sale of their St George's Lane ground.

City chairman Dave Boddy told BBC Hereford and Worcester it was an historic day for the club.

"The sale means the development of the new stadium at Nunnery Way can move forward," he said.

"Hopefully this will now lead to exciting times for all supporters of the club."
